Belmont Barbershop in Boise used to operate as Hannifin's Cigar Shop. The city knows the story of one of the most notorious murder's that took place in Boise, that of Cora Dean. The woman frequently visited a bar in Garden City, and stories say that one night she met a man named Raymond Snowden, who brutally murdered her that same night. After murdering the girl, he dropped his knife in the gutter and walked directly into the bathroom of the cigar shop. Witnesses say that the murderer haunts the barbershop to this day, as they have heard eerie footsteps walking towards the bathroom, even when no one else is around.
